How to return to Kohl’s
In store
- Take the item to customer service at any Kohl’s store.
- Bring your receipt, or anything Kohl’s can use to find the purchase: your order number, Kohl’s Rewards account, the card you paid with, or the return barcode in the Kohl’s app.
- The refund goes to your original payment method when the purchase is found.

Online orders can be returned at any Kohl’s store. Start the return in your Kohl’s account or app to see the options for your order, including the return barcode.
Returning without a receipt
Kohl’s handles no-receipt returns in two steps:
- Lookup. Associates search by order number, Kohl’s Rewards account, credit card number, or the app’s return barcode. If they find it, it’s a normal return.
- Merchandise credit. If they can’t, you receive a Kohl’s Merchandise Credit for the lowest discounted price in the past 13 weeks, and a valid photo ID may be required.
